Safety is our first priority. Our guides have studied high level avalanche management and safety and are there to make sure you never get caught in an avalanche. Japanese snow and terrain conditions are generally considered quite safe but it does not give cause to be lax! If we ever enter avalanche terrain you will be provided with training and appropriate safety gear must be worn.
If there is an injury you are in good hands. There will always be a guide trained in Wilderness First Aid. This is an internationally recognised and intense course that trains our guides to tackle any situation. Comprehensive action plans and radio communication will get you off the mountain in treated at a nearby hospital with maximum efficiency.
